The road of life is littered with our broken dreams and hopes. Like clay shards from discarded water pitchers cast away. The crevasse is deep and full of rough jagged crags and sharp rocks. Razor sharp edges cut and grasp at both flesh and clothing. I see a lone traveller weary and weighed down with sin. Tattered clothes hang loosely on a bony frail body. With their head bowed and leaning on a staff they trudge forward. They approach the chasm that stands between them and paradise. My hands are cold, blistered and calloused from my own struggles. I know that I can make it across this vast chasm in time. Though I will stop here and build a bridge of hope with my faith. I will reach out and help pave the way for other Pilgrims.
