Dear God This morning I woke up early, And I had a hot caffeine brew, And though I felt somewhat surly, I wanted to spend time with thee. I know at times I'm just lazy, And I tend to leave you at home, While my faith is a bit hazy. And my thoughts tend to stray and roam. I just want to let you know Lord. I really want to be good. But it's hard to live in accord. And do all the things that I should. Lord can you guide my every thought. Shape my words to reflect your grace. So I'll do the things that I ought. And lead me to your sacred space. So now I'll say my soft amen. As I head out into the world. To live a life that's born again. May my flag of faith be unfurled. So the unsaved may learn your gift. A love that reaches out to all. To save their sad souls set adrift. To any who will heed your call. MJ Flack
