Reflection:
There are
plenty of divisive differences between the Christen God and the Muslim
Allah. The range is vast and painfully large. To begin with; for the
most part Christians view the Old Testament as a record of historical
and spiritual events that took place many ages ago. Christians do not
consider the events and many old covenant rules no longer apply to Christians.
They live under a new covenant through the death and resurrection of
Jesus the Christ. When a Christian reads a verse within the Old Testament
they recognise that it is not urging them to do the same.
While Christians
perceive the Old Testament as quaint but not relevant other than the
understanding the fulfilling prophesies; many Muslims today perceive
the whole of the Quran as being relevant and instruction. Each part
teaches them the same message as it did when it was first written. If
it teaches that aggression is what Allah wants than that is what they
are to pursue. When the Quran teaches Muslims to lie, which is called
a Taqiya, to the Kafir (a non-Muslim) it is an accepted practice. Sadly
something many kafir fail to recognise and appreciate when negotiating
with Muslims. So combined with a doctrine of hatred towards kafir or
unbelievers, there is an automatic clause to deceive the kafir and lead
them into complacency.
Let's look at the
compared verse that I have quoted above. The two are as different as
chalk and cheese. To begin with God has clearly stated that His love
is steadfast and abundant. His love and grace is renewed each morning.
Extended to everyone. Gods' compassion is extended to all who will hear
and turn back to Him. It doesn't express any anger or hatred towards
nonbelievers. Those of other beliefs or even those who have chosen to
have no belief at all are all equally shown love. While in Ephesians
2:4-5 we are shown how how God has shown His unlimited love to all.
God gave His own Son as the place of all sinners. Sinners are an all
inclusive nomenclature for all who have not repented and turn back to
God. Although there is an ultimate judgement for everyone, there is
a show of love for all living. Both saved and un-saved are given the
equal love of God through His perfect grace.
Allah however hasn't
the same scope for those who live and refuse to bend and submit to him.
He has made it clear what how he feels about kafir or non-Muslims. The
Quran instructs Muslims to actively kill them. To seek out the pagans,
polytheists, Kafir et al and to convert or kill them. This diametrically
opposed instruction to what God says is made painfully felt in many
countries and societies. The demand by the Quran to submit Kafir and
extract a Jizya or tax on all non-Muslim is a form of submission that
has and is extracted from many Kafir around the world even today. Though
in the end if the enemy of Allah have not converted to Islam they will
be with terrible agony in both this world and the Islamic world to follow.
There is no wiggle room allowed. Kafir are a motley group of all non-Muslims.
As mentioned it includes any who has not accepted the doctrine of the
Islamic faith. Which basically covers the whole world. Unlike the Christian
God who shows us in Matthew 5:43-47-43-47 that he makes the sun and
rains shine and fall upon both good and bad; the Islamic Allah extorts
followers to persecute Kafir while he will curse them.
Really easy to
see the difference between the two beliefs. The Christian God seeks
to reconcile those who reject Him. He doesn't seek to harm them but
instead seeks to show them love and grace. While the Islamic Allah exhorts
Muslims to persecute Kafir while he himself openly curses any who will
not submit to his will. Christians need to come to terms with how Islam
is cruelly attacking the world. How we can't trust anyone who tries
to distort the truth with Islamic sanctioned lies or Taqiya. There will
never be a true peace between Christians and Muslims. The divide goes
as far back as the division between Sarah and Hagar.
In short;
God is love.
Allah is hate.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
I embrace your grace and your love.
Thank you for being there for me.
I know you love all your creation.
That you seek to be reconciled with it.
Through the death of your Son Jesus.
All may find salvation in the Lord.
I praise your Holy Sacred name.
Amen
